This covers SiteOfMe itself. Sites built on SiteOfMe have their own policy, written by whoever owns them, and we are not a party to it.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and we never see or store the plain text.
When you build a site: whatever you type into it, and whatever you upload. That content is yours. We store it so we can serve your site, and for no other reason.
When someone visits a site: a page view is counted. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors across sites.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not sell your visitors' data. We do not share either with advertisers.
Who else touches it
Appwrite stores the database and uploaded files. Vercel serves the application. Both process data on our instructions in order to run the product, and nothing more.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in. That is the only cookie the application needs. Individual sites can switch on their own cookie notice from the dashboard if their own use requires one.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and your sites, content and uploads go with it. Backups roll off within 30 days.
Your choices
You can edit or delete anything you have put into a site at any time, from the dashboard. You can export your resume as a PDF. You can ask us to delete your account entirely, and we will.
A full content export is not built yet. If you need one before it is, write to us and we will do it by hand.
Children
SiteOfMe is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and we will say so in the product rather than hoping you re-read this page.
Contact
Use the Support link in the footer. It reaches a person, and questions about your own data are answered first.
